call for presentation of demos and posters The 2013 ACM Cloud and Autonomic Computing conference

The 2013 ACM Cloud and Autonomic Computing conference is soliciting proposals to present research and practical work in an informal and open setting that encourages presenters and participants to engage in discussions and to network with other researchers. The presentation of demos and posters will be alongside exhibits from our industry partners to foster a full breadth view of the state-of-the-art in the field.

Posters are meant to showcase late-breaking research results, ongoing research projects, and speculative or innovative work in progress. Demo proposals should showcase technology that validates important research issues and results, or showcase realistic applications. Topics of interest are along the lines of the main conference tracks, and include, but are not limited to:

* Autonomic Cloud Computing: Self-managing cloud services, Cloud workload characterization and prediction, Monitoring and analysis of behavior of cloud resources and services
* Autonomics for Extreme Scales: Large scale autonomic systems, Self-optimizing and self-healing at petacomputing scale, Self-managing middleware and tools for extreme scales
* Autonomic Cybersecurity: Self-protection techniques of computing systems, networks and applications, Anomaly behavior analysis of autonomic systems and services, Data mining, stochastic analysis and prediction of autonomic systems and applications
* Autonomic Tools and Applications: Benchmarks and tools to evaluate and compare different architectures to implement autonomic cloud systems, High performance autonomic applications, Self* applications in science and engineering, Self* Human Machine Interface

All submissions should be in the form of a maximum two-page abstract of the work to be presented. For demos, please indicate whether it is in the form of a UI mockup, video, or working prototype, which will help judge the nature and requirements of the presentation. Authors of full and short papers for the main conference, as well as industry sponsors, may be invited directly to present their work as a poster/demo. However, they are encouraged to independently submit extensions of their work and new or related results (referencing their original submission).

Dates:

- Proposal submission due by: May 24, 2013
- Notification of acceptance: June 10, 2013
