We have a great pleasure to invite you to participate in the ARMS-CC 2015, Workshop on Adaptive Resource Management and Scheduling for Cloud Computing, held in conjunction with PODC 2015, Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain, July 20th, 2015.
Following the success of last years first ARMS-CC held in Paris, the second edition of ARMS-CC workshop aims at providing a venue for researchers, engineers, and practitioners involved in the development of new resource management methods, scheduling algorithms, and middleware tools for Cloud Computing. The goal is to provide an interactive and friendly yet professional forum for original research contributions describing novel ideas, groundbreaking results or quantified system experiences, in the context of PODC Symposium. The work presented in ARMS-CC workshop can report and summarise on previous work, present early new results or put forward new and outrageous ideas.
We cordially invite you to submit your contribution to the Workshop on Adaptive Resource Management and Scheduling for Cloud Computing (ARMS-CC 2015).
Topics include, but are not limited to:
+ Foundational Models for Resource Management in Cloud
+ Distributed Scheduling Algorithms
+ Load-Balancing and Co-Allocation
+ Scalable Computing
+ Dynamic, Adaptive and Machine Learning based Distributed Algorithms
+ Self-* and Autonomous Cloud Systems
+ Cloud Composition, Federation, Bridging, and Bursting
+ Cloud Resource Virtualization and Composition
+ Fault Tolerance, Reliability, Availability of Cloud Systems
+ Cloud Workload Profiling and Deployment Control
+ Cloud Quality Management and Service Level Agreement (SLA)
+ High Performance Cloud Computing
+ Many-Task Computing
+ Mobile Cloud Computing
+ Green Cloud Computing
+ Robust Systems
+ Cloud Computing Techniques for Big Data
+ Resource Management in Big Data Platforms
+ Scheduling Algorithms for Big Data Processing
ARMS-CC workshop would be of interest to the PODC community because it highlights the consideration of self-* improvements, which is explicitly focused on resource utilization and combines local and global enforcement solutions, supports the estimation of resources needed, scalability, mobility, reliability, and fault tolerance.
*** IMPORTANT DATES ***
Abstract registration: 3-May-2015
Submission deadline: 10-May-2015
Author notification: 7-June-2015
Camera-ready due: 5-July-2015
Workshop: 20-July-2015, Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain
Post-Proceedings: November 2015
*** SUBMISSION and REVIEW PROCESS ***
The full paper in PDF format will be submitted via EasyChair system.
https://www.easychair.org/ conferences/?conf=armscc2015
Each submission must be in English, in PDF format, and begin with a cover page including: (1) the title, (2) the names and affiliations of all authors, (3) contact author’s email, address and telephone number, (4) a brief, one paragraph abstract of the paper. A regular submission must not exceed 15 single-column pages (excluding cover page and references). Additional necessary details may be included in a clearly marked appendix that will be read at the discretion of the program committee.
The program committee, potentially assisted by outside referees in limited cases, will do reviewing of full papers. We will assign in the first step two reviewers for a submission and, if we not have a clear decision we will designate an advocate. The evaluation will be based on originality, scientific significance, technical soundness, and clarity of presentation. Accepted papers will be shepherded through an editorial review process by a member of the program committee.
Accepted submissions will be treated as confidential prior to workshop program publication. The post-proceedings announcement will appear soon on the workshop web site. Rejected submissions will be permanently treated as confidential.
By submitting a paper, the authors agree that at least one of them will attend the workshop to present it. This is the strong condition for a submission to be considered for publication in post proceedings.
