The ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (ACM BCB) is the flagship conference of the ACM SIGBio. ACM-BCB 2015 is the conference's sixth year, building upon the success of the first five meetings in Niagara Falls, Chicago, Orlando, Washington DC, and Newport Beach. Since 2013, we have incorporated the new area of Health Informatics in BCB and we look forward to its continual growth. 

ACM-BCB 2015 will be held in Atlanta GA, September 9?12, 2015. The conference offers a forum for premier interdisciplinary research linking computer science, mathematics, statistics, biology, bioinformatics, biomedical informatics, and health informatics. The past few decades have seen tremendous growth in the scale and complexity of biological and medical data. This conference serves to showcase leading-edge research on new technologies and techniques for gathering, processing, analyzing, and modeling these big data for a variety of scientific, clinical, and healthcare applications, from bench to bedside. 

ACM-BCB 2015 welcomes original submissions that have not been published or under review. Examples of relevant topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

Submitted manuscripts should not exceed 10 pages in ACM template on 8.5 x 11 inch paper (http://www.acm.org/sigs/). ACM-BCB's technical program committee will review all submissions on the basis of their originality, technical soundness, significance, presentation, and interest to the conference attendees. All accepted papers of registered authors will be included in the proceedings published by ACM Digital Library. Details for the conference can be found at the http://acm-bcb.bme.gatech.edu/. 

The authors of selected papers will be invited to adapt their papers for being published in a special issue of IEEE/ACM Transaction on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (TCBB), a special issue of IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics (J-BHI), or a virtual issue of the DATABASE journal.

ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (ACM- BCB) is the main flagship conference of the ACM SIGBio (ACM Special Interest Group on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics). ACM-BCB 2015 will be held in Atlanta, GA, during September 9-12, 2015. The conference provides a premier forum for researchers in computer science, mathematics, statistics, biological and medical science to share advances in bioinformatics, computational biology, and health informatics. Physicians, medical, and public health researchers are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts to report how informatics approaches can be applied to solve biological and medical problems.

The abstracts should report results and progresses in bioinformatics, computational biology, and health informatics that include but are not limited to the following topics:
* translational bioinformatics
* microbiomics and metagenomics
* multi-omics data analysis and integration
* population, evolution and comparative genomics
* computational systems biology
* proteomics and metabolomics
* behavioral, environmental, and public health informatics

The Industry Track invites submission of proposals of panels and special sessions and nominations of keynote speakers/presentations, which are focused on industrial research, application and implementation in the areas of interests of the conference.

Call for Panels and Special Sessions Submissions
=================================================

We invite submissions of proposals for panels and special sessions which are related to the themes of the conferences and with focus on applications/implementations and commercialization or prospects of such. Each panel or special session should cover 60-90 minutes, with at least 20-30 minutes for discussions.

The complete panel proposal should not exceed 6 pages, and should include:

* Panel topic and justification for such panel;
* Complete contact information and affiliations for the panel organizers;
* (Potential) panelists and their expertise;
* A brief biography for each organizer and panelist.

Submissions from both academic and industry are welcome; collaborations between the two are extremely encouraged.

The complete special session proposal should not exceed 4 pages, and should include:

* Special session topic and justification for such special session;
* Complete contact information and affiliations for the special session organizers;
* (Potential) presenters/title of presentations and their affiliations;
* (Optional) abstracts of presentations;

Submissions from both academic and industry are welcome; collaborations between the two are extremely encouraged. The special session will require at least 4 presentations, or they will be combined with other special sessions. No full paper is required for presentations in the special sessions of industry track. If you plan to submit a full paper, please follow conference regular paper submission procedures, and let the program committee know that you prefer to present your paper with industry track.
