Call for DDC Participation
We invite applications from PhD students at any stage of their doctoral studies on HPCS related research topics. This Doctoral Dissertation Colloquium will be part of the 2016 International Conference on High Performance Computing & Simulation (HPCS 2016) in Innsbruck, Austria, July 18-22, 2016. http://hpcs2016.cisedu.info/ or http://cisedu.us/rp/hpcs16.
The intent of the DDC is to bring together PhD students who have not defended their thesis before HPCS 2016. The main goal of this session is to foster excellence in HPCS related research by providing students feedback and advice that are particularly relevant to their doctoral studies and career development. Each participant will be paired up with a senior researcher who will act as a mentor, providing constructive remarks and guidance on future plans.
PhD. students are invited to participate by proposing an extended abstract of up to 3 pages (written in English, in the posted IEEE format). Please see the HPCS 2016 web site for more details.
This colloquium will give participants the opportunity to present their ongoing research in a friendly forum. They will obtain valuable feedback from conference attendees, particularly senior researchers and experts in the field in a constructively critical and informal atmosphere. Students presenting their work at HPCS 2016 may apply for Student Travel Grant that we hope to make available (tentative) as posted on the HPCS 2016 web site.
