CFP: IEEE International Workshop on Cloud Analytics

CALL FOR PAPERS
2nd IEEE International Workshop on Cloud Analytics
Tempe, Arizona
March 9-13, 2015 (Exact date TBD)
Held in conjunction with the International Conference on Cloud Engineering (IC2E) 2015

Submission Deadline: Sunday December 7, 2014

Clouds have become popular platforms for running big data applications, but cloud data centers are also sources of vast amounts of information about the client workloads, applications, servers, and networks within them. This data includes server utilization traces, application logs, reliability measurements, and security audit records, all of which can provide valuable information to both cloud providers and tenants. Given the scale of cloud deployments, systematic analytical approaches are critically needed to provide insights about these types of cloud data in order to improve the performance, efficiency, and resiliency of cloud platforms.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers with expertise ranging from modeling to systems architecture to exchange ideas, and share their experiences in developing analytics to better deploy, operate and use the cloud. Specifically, we wish to foster research contributions that draw on statistical analysis, analytical modeling, and machine learning to develop novel solutions applicable to management in cloud data centers.

Topics of interest include:

    Cloud workload measurement and analysis
    Workload behavior modeling
Analytics for application deployment in cloud
    Performance modeling of cloud applications
    Cloud performance benchmarking

Paper Submission:

The IWCA workshop invites authors to submit original and unpublished work. Papers should not exceed 6 pages in IEEE style (single-spaced 2-column text using 10-point size type on 8.5" x 11" paper). Authors should submit a PostScript (level 2) or PDF file that will print on a PostScript printer.
