SCOPE
Security become more critical and challenging in communications and networking systemswhen many contents, devices and users get connected to the Internet in these days, andthis trend will continue in the future. SHORT BIOGRAPHY OF CO-CHAIRS
Xinwen Fu is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science, University of Massachusetts Lowell. He received Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2005. Dr.Fu's current research interests are in network security and privacy, network forensics, computerforensics, information assurance, system reliability and networking QoS. Dr. Fu has been publishing papers in conferences such as IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (S&P), ACM Conference onComputer and Communications Security (CCS), ACM International Symposium on Mobile Ad HocNetworking and Computing (MobiHoc), IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications(INFOCOM) and IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS), journals suchas ACM/IEEE Transactions on Networking (ToN), IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems(TPDS), IEEE Transactions on Computers (TC), IEEE Transaction on Mobile Computing (TMC) and IEEETransactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT), book and book chapters. He spoke at various technicalsecurity conferences including Black Hat Briefings. His research is supported by NSF.
Rongxing Lu received the Ph.D degree in computer science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China in 2006 and the Ph.D. degree (awarded Canada Governor General Gold Medal) in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario,Canada, in 2012. Since May 2012, he has been with the School of Electrical and ElectronicsEngineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, as an Assistant Professor. His researchinterests include computer, network and communication security, applied cryptography, securityand privacy analysis for vehicular network, eHealthcare system, and smart grid communications. He won the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Asia Pacific (AP)Outstanding Young Researcher Award in 2013, and was one recipient of the Best Paper Awards ofthe International Conference on Body Area Networks (BodyNets2010), the IEEE InternationalConference on Computer Communications and Networks (ICCCN 2009), and the InternationalConference on Communications and Networking in China (Chinacom 2008).
