 On June 4, AMD announced new x86 AMD Embedded G-Series system-on-chip (SoC) and central processing unit (CPU) solutions for embedded applications, including early adoption by HP for thin client deployment in healthcare, finance, education and retail, as well as Advantech for industrial applications in rugged environments.

 AMD’s Embedded G-Series family has just gotten bigger with our latest x86 System-on-chip (SoC), previously codenamed “Steppe Eagle” and the x86 central processing unit (CPU), previously codenamed “Crowned Eagle.” These two new family members extend AMD’s position of product and innovation leadership in the embedded market and serve applications such as networking, industrial control and automation and cloud-based thin client solutions.
