Call for Participation
1st International Workshop on Post-Moore's Era Supercomputing (PMES)
http://j.mp/pmes2016
In cooperation with the IEEE Computer Society
TIME: Monday, November 14th, 9am - 5:30pm
LOCATION: SC16 @ Salt Palace Convention Center, Room 155-B
This interdisciplinary workshop is organized to explore the scientific
issues, challenges, and opportunities for supercomputing beyond the
scaling limits of Moore's Law, with the ultimate goal of keeping
supercomputing at the forefront of computing technologies beyond the
physical and conceptual limits of current systems. As such, continued
progress of supercomputing is likely to require a comprehensive
re-thinking of technologies, ranging from innovative materials and
devices, circuits, system architectures, programming systems, system
software, and applications.
The workshop will open with a keynote presentation on
"The IEEE Rebooting Computing Initiative and the International
Roadmap for Devices and Systems (IRDS)"
by Prof. Tom Conte, Georgia Tech
Topics slated for presentation include
* Quantum computing
* Neuromorphic computing
* Probabilistic computing
* Heterogeneous and Reconfigurable computing
* Silicon Photonics
See the full workshop agenda at http://j.mp/pmes2016program.
